🤖 Dengun Labs: Pioneering Agentic AI for Business Innovation
Leading the charge in applied AI, we built agent-based systems that transformed vague ideas into executable business plans, showcasing the power of AI in the early days of the LLM boom.
The Problem
In the early days of the LLM explosion, businesses were fascinated by AI but struggled to see a clear path from hype to practical application. The challenge was to bridge the gap between the raw power of models like GPT-3 and real-world business needs. How could we transform a vague startup idea into a concrete, actionable plan using AI?
My Role
As the founder and lead of Dengun Labs, I was the architect of our AI strategy. I led a small, agile team in R&D, exploring everything from prompt engineering to complex agentic workflows. My role was a mix of hands-on coding, system design, and strategic vision, as we navigated the rapidly evolving AI landscape.
The Approach
We adopted a rapid prototyping methodology. Instead of getting bogged down in theory, we built and tested constantly. Our core idea was to create an 'agentic system' that could reason about business problems. This involved breaking down a large goal (like "create a business plan") into smaller, manageable tasks that could be handled by specialized AI agents. We used early versions of frameworks like LangChain to orchestrate these agents.
What I Built
- An AI-powered business plan generator that takes a simple idea and outputs a detailed plan.
- A system for agentic reasoning, allowing AI to autonomously research and develop strategies.
- Internal tools that used AI to optimize our own workflows, from coding to marketing.
- Dozens of MVPs and prototypes for clients, demonstrating the art of the possible with AI.
The Outcome
AI-powered MVPs developed
Reduction in time-to-prototype
Increase in client engagement with AI
To a profitable side-business
Our work at Dengun Labs was foundational. We not only delivered innovative solutions for clients but also fundamentally changed how our parent company, Dengun, approached innovation. We proved that a small, focused team could punch far above its weight by leveraging the power of AI. This project was my "kickstarter" into the world of professional AI development and set the stage for my future work.
Tools & Stack
Our stack was built on Python, using FastAPI for the backend and React for our internal dashboards. We were early adopters of LangChain for agent orchestration and used the OpenAI API as our primary source of intelligence. We experimented with various vector databases for knowledge storage and retrieval.
Why This Project Matters
This project is a testament to my belief in the power of execution. While others were just talking about AI, we were in the trenches, building, failing, and learning. It captures my journey from being a curious developer to an AI practitioner who can deliver real-world value.
